K1 International, LLC. was formed in 2003 by Mike Kruizinga, a former Event Director for Streetball Partners International where he produced solely and collaboratively Hoop it Up, Let It Fly, and other amateur sports marketing events all across North America.

K1 signed its first client in late December of 2003. NBA Canada, Inc. contracted K1 Events to produce and manage its NBA Hoop it Up Canada Tour for 2004, and 2005 as K1 licenses the naming rights for Hoop It Up in Canada from Streetball Partners International in 2004 and then Crestline Sports, LLC. in 2005.

K1 Events now owns and operates one in-house national experiential grassroots touring sports property with the Spikefest Volleyball Tour. K1 Events continues to look for expansion opportunities with these tours and company expansion through the acquisition of other sports properties. Additionally, K1 Events is still a leader in mobile marketing, promotions, and contract event production.
